So I just went to River City Yarns to buy yarn for the little fair isle sweater in the new VK.

I was there for almost two hours, just chatting it up with the ladies there! God, everyone is so helpful and amazing at that store. Seriously. No qualms about showing you how to do something on a whim, recommending anything you need (even if it's from a different store), and just getting to know you. Both of them were down there on the floor, helping me pick the perfect colours for my sweater (I had to choose six that went well together), even suggesting certain ones for my skin tone and everything! Haha, I LOVE that store. For real.

And I am now in posession of eleven skeins of cascade 220. Beautiful, heathered tones of browns, greys, and a deep dark eggplant, a rust, and a cream. And I am going to make a sweaterrrrrr!!!

Right now, though, I need to do a stencil for Scott's band's CD cover.

And do the dishes.

And technically, I should finish that circular shrug before I start on anything major like another sweater.

But I'm not gonna.

BOTH my Packages did indeed "get lost" in the mail... and then sent back to em with little notes (dated 10 days prior to my reciept of the packages) explaining that knitting needles are weapons and cannot be mailed across borders becasue of National Security, and they were returned needle-less! the august and july packages are combined, needle-less, and in teh mail, should arrive in 3-5 days. If they dont.... I will never use the postal service again
(which would be made easier by my moving to canada next week.) lol. But I will be online despite the moving etc, so it will be OK. And my parents will call if any packages are sent back (theyre used to it at this point.)
I hope your knitting goes well!

Wow, that totally sucks that you lost the needles! But don't worry, I've been just sitting here patiently, no toe-tapping :)
Thanks for all of your tough work throughout all the US postal madness! I promise it's better here in Canada!
